Giana Contrada, Blog#1

My earliest childhood memory is on the gory side, but I remember the exact time and place of the incident. One sunday morning at my old house, I was sitting at the bar in my small white kitchen. My stomach was starting to rumble, so I grabbed a box of Cheez-Its.

At this time I had two Pitbulls named Desi and Josi, they were sisters. They were just sitting next to me looking up at me with their puppy dog eyes; so I had no choice but to share my Cheez-Its. I started throwing down two at a time and they were just loving me. Not thinking anything of it, I made the mistake of only throwing one Cheez-It this time and they began to fight over it. There was blood all over the kitchen; I stood there in shock for a moment until I decided to seek help from my mom. They fought for quite a while until my aunt rushed over and splashed water on them in order to break up the fight.

They were pretty badly hurt and we were not aloud to keep them together anymore due to the chance they might fight again.  We ended up having to put Josi down. I did not tell my parents the truth until around ten years later, I just said I didn't know why they fought. Who would have thought that would happen over ONE Cheez-it, I swear we fed them well!
